Hurry up and wait or just wait and hurry up?

This is Danielle and Tyler.  They have been dating for a few years and decided to get married!  Tyler proposed, they set a date in June for their nuptials,  and they can’t wait to start a family soon after.  They came to me in April asking about the market, possibly selling their townhouse, and buying a home to make their dream come true…after their wedding in June!  We had a nice talk and decided that the end of July would be best since they also would be going to Europe for 3 weeks immediately after the wedding.

About 1 week later they wanted to know how much they could get for their townhouse and if they could see some homes in the area.  Danielle said “we just want to take a look and see what’s out there” and “nothing serious since it would be too much to do before a wedding and our trip”.  We went and saw 2 houses they fell in love with and everything was in motion from then on.

This house was love at first sight!  Only 4 years old but kept in immaculate condition, storage galore, a yard for the dog, close to all of their friends, it was perfect for them.  We decided to place an offer “as long as we can close before the wedding” and “if we don’t get it then we’ll wait until July”.  I placed their townhouse on the market and immediately received multiple offers, above asking price, and we were under contract in 5 hours!  Then our offer was accepted on this home to purchase.

I think this home purchase was just like Danielle and Tyler:  Love at first sight, a whirlwind romance, and making it happen on their terms!  Congratulations Danielle and Tyler!  I’ll see you at the wedding!
