I just sold a house near Westlake Park and discovered so many great things about the neighborhood. Rooted in historic Kruse farmland, I think my favorite thing is actually the 12 acre park! Located on Melrose Street, Westlake Park is a premier athletic park that has a new covered playground and shelter with plenty of picnic tables. I already have written their summer concerts on my calendar.
The neighborhood wins many admirers for it ease of commute and walking trails and great stores and restaurants at Centerpointe and Kruse Village. But it really shines for its community which is considered very kid-friendly with the bonus of exceptional schools.
