A Pearl in the Pearl

By Living Room Realty, July 15, 2019

Recently I received a call from an Indiana phone number asking me if I would be interested in representing them in the sale of their condo in Portland’s Pearl District. It turns out they were my neighbors in the same building where I live! Not only was I excited to have a beautiful listing in the Pearl, but more importantly, I felt honored to be able to help my neighbor with their real estate needs.

I knew that my personal knowledge of the building, the neighbors, the homeowners association, and the neighborhood would be beneficial to them as sellers, and to potential buyers as well. Plus, whenever an issue came up, I was literally footsteps away!

The view from this “Petite Pearl Penthouse” is very charming, overlooking some of the more historic buildings and water towers in the Pearl through a wall of north facing windows that leads onto an oversized patio. My clients used this special place as a second home during the years that their children relocated to Portland and attended school. Now that their kids are adults and have their own homes here, my clients no longer needed this condo, as they can now stay with their kids!

This property was not on the market long before a lucky buyer decided to make it his new home. I am happy to have provided my clients with personalized and professional service, guiding them through the process of preparing, marketing, negotiating, and selling their home.

So now that they have passed their little slice of the Pearl onto a new owner, it’s sadly time to say so-long to my previous neighbors and to gladly welcome in our new neighbor.

As we say in Italian, “Ciao!” which means both Good-bye and Hello!
