I’ve known Kirsten and Paul for the bulk of my real estate career. We first met in 2010 when they were in town from Eugene, looking to buy an investment property in north Portland. Yup, they did pretty well on that one when they sold in 2017 (completely gratuitous note: always a good idea to buy real estate in a down market)! At that time they talked about their desire to move back to Portland to be near family again, “one day when work and life aligned” and how they hoped that would be soon. Cut to 9 years later (and another townhouse pied-a-tiere purchase under their belts) and Kirsten and Paul have finally transitioned from visiting Portland often, to being actual residents!
Kirsten and Paul scooped up a snazzy Raleigh Hills 1966 2-story traditional for $20,000 under list price. They had the good fortune to find a property that had been over priced and over looked for most of the spring real estate season. Oh how we HouseLove those sleeper properties. They just get our negotiation juices flowing because we know that adds up to leverage for our clients. Paul and Kirsten’s new home is tastefuly remodeled, spacious, has just the right amount of flow and thanks to the previous owner’s well known area sportsware company shoe collection, has more organized closet space than we’ve kind of ever seen…
We often connect with clients years before they are ready to make their real estate dreams come true. It brings us such joy to see a happy resolution of our client’s long game. And it’s especially sweet with clients like Kirsten and Paul who have now clocked 4 transactions with us and clearly have been such loyal supporters of our business. Many thanks. Much much gratitude, and how fabulous it is that we can now celebrate often and in person in PDX! Dinner will definitely be on us. Forever.
