The Unexpected House

By Living Room Realty, September 21, 2019

There is something wonderful about the wow factor you feel when you first walk through a home. Especially after touring all the other options on the market, you know to keep your expectations tempered. For a couple as low key and easy going as McKenna and Jackson, I felt had to really make sure they were seeing the negatives of a home as well as the positives when we went out touring. Even though they could make a lot of houses we saw “work”, I didn’t want to see them settle, I wanted them to find their perfect (or nearly perfect) house.

When McKenna and Jackson, reached out to me to tell me they had just walked through a house they were super excited about and didn’t understand why is was priced so low with no offers, I of course thought their is something wrong with it and I just needed to talk them through it. So I scheduled a private showing for the three of us. After we were done and discussed all the possible reasons the house could not be a good fit (which were very few), I had to agree that it would be a great fit for them. I also agreed that it was priced oddly low for the market and so if they wanted it they should get an offer in ASAP. And that’s what they did, along with two other people, but they still got the house.

Congratulations McKenna, Jackson and Family on your sweet new Portland home!
