Ranch in Cherry Park – A magical and well-kept secret

By Living Room Realty, May 31, 2020

Everyone who says they want to be west of 205 needs to think again because this little east side oasis is well worth the extra 5 minutes of driving.
Nina and Katie looked at a few houses but none compared to the charm and character that Cherry Park offered. They just kept coming back to it. Sure it was east of 205, but not by much. The pocketed little area off Division & 104th is filled with amazing mid-century modern houses on big, unique lots, many with pools and tree-lined sidewalks with blossoming cherry trees aplenty.
Nestled among the buttes of East Portland, Nina and Katie’s mid-century beauty has a great floor plan that maximizes square footage, brightly lit rooms, and many original (and restored) features. A double fireplace brings lots of heart to the living room and dining room area. A light, airy kitchen includes a big skylight, gas stove, and eating area. The fully renovated bathroom has a deep bathtub, tiled stand-along shower, and all new fixtures. The house even came with the original blueprints!
After years of hard work, including working two jobs through college, taking a risk on a career, and squirreling money away from every pay check, it was time. “It took a decade longer than my 18-year-old self thought, but hey, it feels great all the same.” said Nina.
