Finding Home in the Center

By Jené DeSpain, July 14, 2020

Kali and Nick love to ride bikes as their primary commute resource. With both of their offices downtown, friends living in inner SE and outer NE, and a strong love of the entire east side, they wanted to find something centrally located, with lots of walkability. We started our search right as the pandemic hit mid Spring, so we knew we had to work quickly. Our search led us on a few tours of Tabor neighborhoods, we swooned over some bungalows in Sellwood and Eastmoreland, and had our eyes enticed by some options in Rose City. Then we found what they were hoping for right in the heart of Hollywood. Easy bike commute to downtown, a quick ride over to friends in inner SE, and close to their crew in NE, this was the winner!

Sometimes in the middle of Spring, amidst a pandemic whirlwind, Home is right where you would want it to be – in the Center of it all. A huge congratulations to Nick and Kali. They were able to strongly negotiate during their inspection period and received everything they asked for, including a brand new sewer line connected to the new line at the street put in this Spring by the City. The charming fireplace, large sunny kitchen, original hardwoods, and expansive backyard with gardens a plenty is more than I could have hoped to find with you two in this extremely competitive market. Wishing you both a spectacular start in home ownership at this delightful bungalow. It was so fun to be a part of your dream house adventures!
