The Power of Persistence

By Living Room Realty, December 30, 2020

I had the pleasure of meeting Allison and Rob prior to the COVID outbreak and the subsequent shutdown, so yeah, I got to see their amazing mask free faces!

We began their home search last January and had even written a couple offers prior to the shutdown. With COVID came a temporary work furlough for Rob and full time teaching from home for Allison. Needless to say, we had to put their home search on pause until the dust had settled.

I was so happy to hear from them again this late fall. I learned that Rob had been brought back to work full time and that they were ready to resume their search. We looked at many homes, wrote offers and got into back up position on one, but nothing compared to how much they loved a for sale by owner we found. This was one where the photos didn’t do it justice, and that worked to our advantage. It was competitive, but Rob and Allison were able to meet the owner and find a personal connection that ultimately helped their offer to be chosen. It may have taken a year, but some things are worth waiting for. Congratulations Allison and Rob. Your persistence paid off, and I couldn’t be happier for you both!
