We had an impromptu visit from family one weekend and the next minute we knew it, we were scrambling trying to find an extra carseat for our nephews. Low and behold Nellie reached back out to our Facebook inquiry and said they had one we could borrow. We were blown away to find that we both living on the same street and so it was that the stars were starting to align to bring our families together for the next adventure: their home search.
After we picked up the carseat we were blown away with their kindness in so freely giving. Soon we found out that we had a connection through our mutual friends who we helped sell and buy their home in 2019. From there we ended up talking about their goals and celebrated once their pre-approval was in hand. It was time to go shopping!
Nellie and Pete are both tough cookies. We had to get beat out a few times before we found the winning home. Since the market was getting tougher an tougher to get into we found a home that had been on the market for a little while. We were able to get the home for less than asking by moving quickly and having the right terms to help us fly under the radar. Soon after we snatched up the home from the market we learned that a back up offer was in hand. This did not deter Pete and Nellie and we pushed forward to dig deep into what items needed to be taken care of to move the deal forward.
After we had gathered their inspection reports and bids, Pete and Nellie were able to see that the value of the home far outweighed the repairs that were needed. They decided they needed to push forward even though things started to get rocky for a bit. This home represented a new chapter in their lives of home ownership and nothing was going to stop them from that now. We were so proud to see how Pete and Nellie handled hurdler after hurdle that came at us during their transaction. They are people of faith and we could see that very evidently in their lives on how they gave people the benefit of the doubt when problems started to arise.
We are so proud of you both and are so excited to see you finally in your home that you fought for through blood, sweat and tears. Cheers to you both and your beautiful girls! May this be a home filled with love and laughter.
