I knew the first moment I spoke with Corey that they were a family I was fully committed to helping find a home; the sweetest couple I’ve likely come across in my life! First time buyers, FHA, $350k range, 3 bedroom/2 bath, fenced yard for the pup and kiddo, garage for him, kitchen for her.. it really sounded pretty normal! I met their daughter on tour; and as she pulled my finger dragging me from room to room, I started planning what exciting closing gift I would get to spoil her with- she utterly won my heart. Not long after, we made our first offer.. then our second… and third.. and tenth!! They had officially broken any of my past records of making offers and delivering heartbreaking news. I was proud of them for keeping a positive attitude, though I could watch the slow climbing defeat. It was incredibly difficult to continue telling them “it just means this isn’t the one.. I promise we will find the perfect house.” Ashely started chopping away at her priority list, Corey began giving up things that I knew he really wanted- all they REALLY wanted was a home together to grow in at the end of the day. Countless weekends, rainy days and video viewings- we stumbled upon what would be offer number eleven. Ashley walked through the home skeptically, trying not to get her hopes up or get too excited.. The yard had a play structure already in the back, a fenced yard, a shed, a 2 car garage, large kitchen, fireplace (bonus!) and updated bathrooms.. Gracie (the 2 year old) quickly claimed the pink bedroom across the hall from the master bedroom. I knew it was perfect for them but was also reluctant to show my feelings of excitement in fear of yet another rejection. That night we made an offer that would be the beginning of their next chapter. Today, as the sun is shining and the air light, we close on their first home. I couldn’t be more honored to be a part of it. Congratulations to all three of you, I can’t wait to push Gracie in the swing and pour a drink to celebrate!
