Everything they Wanted and Needed, and More

By Beth Benner, April 28, 2021

Buying and selling a home is one of the most personal transactions in one’s life. As an Agent, I get a deep insight into who my clients are – what makes them light up, what makes them anxious, and so much more on who they are as people. I had the pleasure of getting to work with this incredible couple to sell their current home and purchase their forever home. We first began working together back in January of 2020, pre-pandemic with high hopes to get them into a new home in the upcoming months. With the pandemic in full force just a couple of months after the start of our process, we all had to adjust and re-prioritize things.

Hopping back into the process of selling their current home and buying the next, we found ourselves in a completely different place than the first go-around. My amazing clients found out that they were expecting their first child, a baby girl in June! Not only were my clients at a different place in their life, but we also came back to a whole new market. It was great to be sellers during this time and we were able to list their home quickly. They accepted an amazing offer that allowed them to stay in their home with rent back while they working on buying a new home, which proved to be not as easy as selling.

Switching sides to being the buyers, my clients found themselves in many multiple offer situations. Although they were able to be competitive, the market just wasn’t in their favor. There was no stopping these buyers though! The moment that we walked into their soon-to-be-home, we knew that this was the one. All of the failed attempts before, all of the time waiting was worth it. At first sight, visions of family Christmases, Sunday dinners, whiffle ball tournaments, and backyard barbeques flooded in. The home was in a familiar neighborhood, even close to family. Their baby girl will be welcomed into the sweetest of homes, surrounded by love from grandparents nearby. My clients found everything they wanted and needed, and more.
