Sweet Touch Cafe, A Sweet Spot in Vancouver

By Living Room Realty, August 20, 2021

Sweet Touch Cafe in Vancouver Village is a fantastic little bakery offering extravagant cakes, a wide variety of European pastries, and a rainbow selection of macarons.

The owners of this local gem have long been members of the community, but their roots trace all the way back to Ukraine. As a family-owned and operated business run by Ukrainian immigrants, they are able to offer an authentic international style to their baking that can sometimes be hard to find. What started as a simple European store has since expanded into a fully functional bakery with very loyal customers.

One of the most eye-catching items in the case is the Napoleon Cake, a classic Russian cake made with very thin, very flaky layers of puff pastry, layers of cake, and a luscious pastry cream. On the pastry side, you’ll find unique offerings such as Birds Nest Baklava made with pistachios, or Rahaliki, a mini soft croissant-like cookie. We also can’t forget the macarons! Find endless flavor combinations, all of them delicious, and all of them beautiful.
