A Modest Home for a Modest Mouse

By Living Room Realty, February 1, 2022

Russell, base player for local band Modest Mouse, just purchased his very first home. It feels like a big accomplishment because getting there wasn’t an easy task. As a full time musician, his profession has been specially hard hit with the pandemic. His income has been erratic for 2 straight years due to tour cancellations and it was difficult to find a lender that would work with him.

After years dealing with unstable housing, he was determined to finally purchase a nest of his own, so he kept jumping hoops with the lenders while we were exploring property options within his budget. Two months later, with a pre-approval on hand, he was able to write an offer on a fantastic property that was accepted. Success!

Russell’s new modest home needs some work, which will be addressed during his idle time, but it also has a spacious basement that seems perfect for a music studio to rehearse Modest Mouse tunes.
