This season always seems like a good time to make gift suggestions, and guess what we are suggesting?……BOOKS!
And, more specifically, graphic novels.
Graphic novels are a great way to get reluctant readers engaged with reading, encourage the blending of visual and literary arts, and perhaps most importantly, offer an accessible way to explore topics that can be beneficial, but tricky for kids to talk about.
We looked to The Experts (our children) to provide you with a list of graphic novels that they have reported to be meaningful, helpful, or just plain hilarious:
