Reflecting on an incredible journey to homeownership with some amazing first-time buyers! Bridge to Portland Group team member Genmae Rianelli and I embarked on this adventure with Julianne & Charles, exploring a variety of homes, from fixer-uppers to ranches bursting with character. It was a rollercoaster ride with some near misses, but we always kept our spirits high.
Then we stumbled on the one that felt just perfect. In a market where homes are going quickly with lots of competition, this one was a true unicorn.
The couple’s son, Landry, wasted no time falling for the cozy bedroom carpets and the gorgeous apple tree in the spacious backyard. It was an immediate connection and the family was sold.
And the timing couldn’t have been better! We were some of the first people to see the house & were up against just one competing offer – no need for fancy terms or frantic bidding wars.
But the real work was in the negotiations for repairs. At the end of the day, Gen & I advocated for our clients & they ended up in a place that felt like a win, with repairs that were manageable for their family. And now, they proudly call this house their home!
We are so excited for the new chapter they’re starting in their beautiful new home. Congrats on your next adventure Julianne, Charles, & Landry!
