One of the things I enjoy most about helping Sellers is knowing with confidence when I walk into a dated, cluttered, disaster of a home, that there are solutions available in my toolbelt to turn that house into a hot listing that receives 20 or more showings in the first weekend and multiple offers.
The Kroner family was recently referred to me by a good friend and top Realtor at the Oregon Coast who knows I love a good project and could help this family. After dealing with numerous medical challenges over the years, they decided it was time to close the chapter of their Beaverton home and move out to the coast for a more relaxing day-to-day.
The home is on a great lot and it has lots of very cool mid century features that were completely hidden by the clutter it was loaded with potential objections by would-be buyers. Here are some before shots:
Our goal was to remove everything from the home, clean it up, and remove as many of those potential objections with a limited budget.
We decided to focus on this scope of work:
Thanks to some great relationships that I have with some fantastic professionals, we were able to get the work completed quickly and for a reasonable investment from the Seller who currently owns the property outright.
As a side note, this Seller did have some funds available to invest in the project but for those that don’t, we have options available to have the work completed without any upfront cost from companies that will take payment out of the sale proceeds at closing.
After about a month of prepping the house, the house hit the market and was an instant hot listing with online viewings. We had 20 private showings in the first two days on market and our open house was very busy with about 18 groups through in a few hours.
Here are some of the listing photos. Full photo gallery here
