Finding the Perfect Farm: C and D’s Journey in Southwest Washington

By Beth Benner, December 19, 2024

When C and D first came to me, they had such a clear vision for their next chapter. In short? They were looking for the cutest farm imaginable. They wanted a home that was private but not too far from town and a place that was already dialed in but still left room for them to add their own personal touches. Their search was focused in Clark County, WA and while I don’t do a ton of business up there, I am licensed in Washington, and this ended up being one of my few transactions there this year—something that made it even more special.

Building the Wishlist

Their wish list included some very specific features—a white house with black trim, functional outbuildings, a primary bedroom on the main level, and room for their adult kids… just in case they decided to come back and stay a while. And of course, the property had to be fenced so their adventurous dogs could run freely.

The Search Begins

C and D began with some online shopping, browsing listings and exploring different possibilities. They visited a few open houses, but nothing quite captured their hearts. Then, one day, the perfect listing popped up. It had everything they had dreamed of—the charming white exterior with striking black trim, outbuildings that were ready to use (complete with real farm equipment), and the ideal layout that matched their vision. It even had this perfect window where they could see themselves enjoying peaceful views while watching the wind blow through the trees—and maybe even catching a glimpse of the neighbor’s dog.

We all knew this was the one.

Moving In and Starting Fresh

Once their offer was accepted and they had closed on the property, C and D wasted no time. They moved in just in time to celebrate the holiday season, decorating their new home for Christmas the very same day they got the keys! It was the perfect way to begin their new life on the farm.

A Joyful Collaboration

Working with C and D was truly an honor. Helping people I respect so much find a home that fits them so perfectly is one of the greatest joys of what I do. Congratulations on finding your dream farm, C and D —and on this exciting new chapter filled with endless possibilities!
