My training and background as a licensed attorney helps me lead with a sharp attention to detail, a keen ear and focused voice, and an unwavering commitment to integrity, transparency and discretion.

The choice to become a real estate broker was a joyful combination of two very different careers. Prior to moving to Portland in 2008, I was an environmental and title closing attorney in Massachustts. Since then, I’ve served as a program manager and fundraising professional for Portland-based non-profit organizations Friends of Trees, The Freshwater Trust and Ecotrust.

While not scouting homes and helping clients, you can find me riding bicycles, skiing, digging in the garden, experimenting in the kitchen, and exploring the stunning beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Please let me know how I can help you or someone you know. Thank you!

*I’m licensed as an attorney in Massachusetts and can’t offer any sort of legal advice.

Andy's Testimonials

He is detail-oriented, thoughtful, principled, and kind. My husband and I worked with Andy over the past few months to buy a home and had a phenomenal experience. Not only was Andy responsive (quickly!) to all of our questions and random finds, he was pro-active and clear about everything - from starting to explore homes all the way through getting keys. He is detail-oriented, thoughtful, principled, and kind. Thanks for everything, Andy, including the cupcakes :).

Andy is the best. If you're a first time home buyer (like I was)... you will definitely want Andy to be on your team (and Faith Watkins from Guild Mortgage, too)! He is incredibly professional and patient and more so than anything... he loves what he does! When I closed on my dream home I knew that Andy was genuinely happy and excited for me. Not just because I became first time home buyer, but because he was thrilled to see that I (somewhat of a glass half empty kind of person) was sincerely overjoyed and blown away by the fact that I got a house a million times better than what I thought I'd ever find. He did so much work behind the scenes to make sure that I was going into the contract knowledgeable and set up for success as new home owner. His expertise is impressive and he'll go out of his way to make the process easier and enjoyable for anyone. Call Andy. He's the real deal.

Working with Andy was a very easy process. He is highly organized and knowledgable about the process and does an excellent job explaining all the details and nuances of going through the home buying process. I plan on recommending him to any friends or family that are interested in buying or  selling a house and will definitely work with him again in the future, if the need arises.

When my partner and I were ready to buy our first home, we immediately asked Andy Meeks to be our REALTOR® knowing it was going to be the best decision we could make in this entire home buying process.

We weren't wrong! As a friend, I already know Andy to be one of the most genuine, honest, hard-working and caring people. Now, as one of his clients, I got to witness just how deep those qualities run in him.

Andy blew us away throughout this entire process. From the moment we sat down with him to talk through what we were looking for, to visiting homes on our list, to finding “this is the one” and turning in an offer that was accepted in 5 hours, we could not have asked for a better advisor to guide us through every step.

Andy hustled to get us every inspection and bid needed to negotiate in our short, 8-day inspection period. His attention to detail and organizational skills made the process incredibly smooth. He remained level-headed and calm even when we were feeling the stress about all the moving parts. When we hit road bumps along the way, Andy did research and helped present all our options so we could make informed decisions.

In the end, we were so happy with the outcome of the sale. We absolutely love our new home! We really can’t recommend Andy enough to anyone looking for a trusted advisor, skilled negotiator, and incredible human being for one of life's biggest business transactions.

We can't thank you enough, Andy.

Andy went above and beyond what we expected to find in a REALTOR®. He is an incredible communicator and was extremely dedicated getting our house on the market, hitting our goals and price points. His knowledge, background experience, and positive attitude made it a stress-free experience.

Jeff

Andy was very professional yet easy to communicate with throughout our entire home selling process. His law background made us both feel secure during negotiations and all of the paperwork. We were pretty stress free during the whole experience despite it being a usually stressful event. Andy was very professional yet easy to communicate with throughout our entire home selling process. It’s clear to Andy that selling homes isn’t just about transaction; it’s about transition, and transition requires trust, honesty, patience and care. He’s got all of that and then some. This was my first time selling a home, and it was daunting. Patience has never been a virtue of mine, and I knew it was required for such an arduous process. Fortunately for me, Andy had patience in spades for not only the steps involved but for me as an individual. It made all the difference. When I needed to be reminded of what was going to happen next, Andy would remind me for the fourth and fifth time with so much care. When I got nervous, Andy reassured me. He's not only got the temperament for the process; he's got the temperament for people during one of the most stressful times in their lives. He listened to me about why I wanted to sell my home, what I loved about it, what mattered most to me when it was listed, and more. It's clear to Andy that selling homes isn't just about transaction; it's about transition, and transition requires trust, honesty, patience and care. He's got all of that and then some. Andy sold my home in a matter of days for over asking price. There were multiple offers on a very unique home, and I attribute all of that to his ability to translate what I loved about it into beautiful, detailed marketing materials and then let the house speak for and show itself. It worked. Then, during negotiations, Andy was a persistent yet kind advocate for me. He's my go to for any future "transitions" I'll make in the city of Portland.

Andy was a superb choice to assist me with my home sale. From our very first meeting he impressed me with his listening skills and organized approach to marketing. He put together a great plan for tackling all the steps in getting the house ready for sale and on the market, and was enormously  helpful in executing the plan. At all times he communicated promptly on what was happening, what to expect, and options. This was particularly key for me as I was out of the country for large segments of the pre-sale and post-listing process. Andy handled all the logistics of my somewhat unusual situation very effectively. On more occasions than I can count his efforts were far above and beyond the norm. I would hands down recommend Andy to anyone selling or buying a house in Portland. He is a diligent, kind and thoughtful, and just a joy to work with.

Lori

I highly recommend Andy Meeks!. We made an offer on a home which needed a lot of repairs. His amazing way with words and negotiating skills helped us get everything we asked for including a new roof, decommissioning of an oil tank, radon mitigation system, as well as a large seller credit to help us  cover some plumbing and electrical repairs. This was all achieved under a very tight 1-month deadline which couldn't have been done without his amazing focus, attention to detail, and quick response times. Well done, Andy! You exceeded our expectations!

Paxton

Andy is a great REALTOR® and represented us in the purchase of a home. He was always responsive to our questions and concerns and is very friendly and honest. My wife and I were selling our home out of state while looking in Portland. Andy was very good at managing our stresses and concerns. His  help included a marathon weekend of looking at almost 20 properties. We would definitely recommend his services to others.

Stephanie and Patrick

Andy significantly exceeded our expectations and truly sets the bar for real estate professionals. As first-time homebuyers, we were looking for someone to guide us through the process and relentlessly advocate on our behalf. Andy’s professionalism, integrity, open communication and responsiveness,  honesty, and willingness to go above and beyond was admirable. We are beyond thrilled to have such a beautiful home it would not have been possible without Andy on our side. We are so grateful to have worked with Andy and recommend him to the highest extent.

Erik and Samantha

We just worked with Andy to buy our first home and can’t say enough good things about him!. We just worked with Andy to buy our first home and can’t say enough good things about him! He patiently helped us find the perfect home while providing useful information and insights every step of the way. He was quick to respond to all our questions and was great about finding time to tour homes that fit with our schedules. Andy was super knowledgeable about the area of town we wanted to end up in and made sure we landed in a house that had all of our desired features.

Jordan and Katie

Working with Andy was the best experience I’ve ever had with a REALTOR®. He went out of his way to show us homes, any day of the week, and was a timely and effective communicator. He genuinely wanted to find us the best home and he put in the work to do so. I couldn’t recommend him enough!

Joel and Lindsey

When we sold our house we wanted to a. Get a good price for it, b. Be hands off (we have a super busy life with 3 kids, I own a business and both of us work), and c. Peace of mind. Andy was stellar in all aspects. Lots of market research to help us figure out the price. The highest value he  provided was in all the prep work...He did sooooooo much work for us, from meeting with contractors to get repair bids, stagers to get suggestions, and working around our busy schedules for meetings. Our house sold for above asking and he was a great guide in the post-inspection negotiating phase. We HIGHLY recommend Andy as a knowledgeable and trustworthy person to work with.

Augusto and Carissa

Seriously, Andy is amazing. As first-time home buyers we were very much adrift. Hiring Andy was one of the best decisions we made. He is extremely knowledgeable and walked us through the process. Having someone to focus our search, explain each step in detail, and help organize the whirlwind of  activities was such a huge relief. From the moment we first contacted Andy he was extraordinarily responsive, highly professional yet passionate, and very accommodating to our schedules. He is committed to making sure his clients are satisfied throughout the process, not just making the sale.

Chris and Becca

As doting grandparents, we had decided to buy a home in Portland to be close to our son’s family. We were nervous about the process, because, although we were very familiar with the New England real estate market, we knew next to nothing about the Portland market. From our first long-distance conversations to our meeting at Woodlawn Coffee to 30 house tours to the final offer and negotiation steps, we felt we had expert guidance from Andy Meeks. He managed to keep us focused as we fine-tuned our priorities and explored different Northeast neighborhoods. At our stage in life, we have lots of set expectations and needs. Andy kept his positive outlook throughout, even when I’m sure we were sending mixed signals. We eventually found a great home near the grandchildren, Fernhill Park, and New Seasons market. After our first month here, we are very pleased with our choice. We wholeheartedly recommend Andy to anyone buying in Portland.
