National Flood Insurance Program – Back on Track!

By Tosha Reinmiller, January 7, 2019

As of the end of 2018, all National Flood Insurance Policy insurers have been told to resume normal operations and consider the program to have been operational without interruption, since the original shut down date of Dec. 21st, 2018.

The decision to not issue new policies could have impacted up to 40,000 home sales each month, estimates the National Association of REALTORS®. All in all the program insures almost 5 million homes and businesses. To learn more about this story, visit the National Association of REALTORS® home page!
