Alder Creek Farm is just one of nine parcels of land in the care of the Lower Nehalem Land Trust, totaling in 265 acres. Established in 2001 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation and restoration of natural lands, the group’s mission is to have “a thriving ecosystem that includes clean water, healthy forests, habitat for diverse species of wildlife, and a strong connection between people and place.” Their main focuses are conservation, stewardship and education. Learn more about the ways in which they protect our local rivers, wetlands, woods, marshes and meadows by visiting the Lower Nehalem Community Trust.
