Sweet Life in OC: Sippin’ and Splashin’

By David Columbus, August 8, 2019

Summer means lengthy river floats, sunny patios, tasty grilled things, and delicious beverages with friends. Oregon City is a great little hot spot in the suburbs and boasts some of the best swimming holes around.

Float down the Clackamette River, work on your tan at High Rocks, swim and splash down at Meldrum Bar. Grab your kayak, paddleboard, or just a good ol’ fashioned tube and soak in the summer sun(USE THAT SPF PLEASE) in whatever way best suits your mood.

Woo all that swimmin’s got me hankerin’ for a cold beer! Get your grub on up at Oregon City Brewing, where you can get top-notch NW brewed beers to wash down the Olympia Provisions snackage going on next door.

All in all, an excellent day. Dang, I love OC.
