Apricot is a wordsmith by trade, a wonderful storyteller by nature, and a passionate environmental advocate. She has devoted herself to sharing stories of the people, and making sure their voices are not lost. A teacher, a writer, and a mother–she spends a lot of time inspiring others.
David and Apricot live out in the Columbia River Gorge, down a quiet gravel road. It’s beautiful and peaceful, and fills their nature-loving hearts, but Apricot realized that (especially during the pandemic) she was really missing seeing people. There is a certain human vitality found in the city that they found really nurturing and necessary, and most importantly, inspiring.
When I first met Apricot and David in 2018, they had been referred to me by a good friend to help them sell their condo in NW Portland.
They had owned that unit for many years, since before they started a family, and shared fond memories of their boys as young toddlers in the condo, and of how they enjoyed being so close to the river – its sight a daily constant and wonder. Another thing I remember from that first meeting was a discussion of a book I was reading, and that they had read and put into practice, The Whole-Brain Child by Daniel Siegel. What I took away from that day was the gratitude of finding and working with people that I felt a kindred spirit with, that I felt inspired by, and lucky to get to know.
So, David and Apricot reached back out this summer wanting another hunt for a condo in Portland proper. They were looking for a place they could bring their boys for weekend adventures, a place where Apricot could write, and a place buzzing with people. Eventually, they narrowed their search to the Pearl District, as the neighborhood offered so many wonderful places to explore.
They fell in love with a beautiful light-filled dwelling, in a stately old Portland building, that provided a beautiful view, and just felt right. It was wonderful to see the bright eyes of this family as they went over all the possibilities that the space had to offer. It was easy to see that this home would bring them so much joy.
With a great agent on the listing side, this transaction was full of great communication and very positive all around.
Congratulations David and Apricot! I can’t wait to read all the beautiful words you send out into the world from your NW Portland outpost!

Professional Service:
Finding an agent you are comfortable with is similar to, and as important, as your connection with a good attorney, accountant or financial adviser. It is my goal to help you make the best, informed decision regarding your real estate needs. Whether it is with a Buyer or a Seller, I enjoy working to help people achieve their goals.
Communication is a very important aspect throughout the home buying and selling process, and I hope you find that I treat my clients with respect and show them the hard work and ethical standards that I use in my everyday practice.
I enjoy working through the complexities of the transaction and have the ability to solve problems when they arise, and thrive on my ability to handle the details of a real estate transaction with professionalism, integrity and care.
Like selling or buying a home, first impressions are paramount to the success of obtaining a sale. I hope that you find my professional image shines through, and that my over 18 years of real estate experience, knowledge and energy will be helpful and refreshing, as have many of my clients who have rewarded me through their repeated use and referrals.
Love of Portland:
I work throughout the Portland Metro Area, and have lived on both the East and West sides of Portland. I am very excited to live in a city with so many beautiful homes and neighborhoods. I also love Oregon and am proud to be a life long Oregonian. I have moved back to neighborhood that my Father spent his childhood and am proud to share in the history where I live. I live 8 blocks from the church where my Aunt and Uncle were married in 1956.
I also love the many activities and restaurants around Portland and the nearby outdoors that it has to offer. Whether shopping at New Seasons or a farmers market, enjoying the many great parks, Portland has a great progressive and environmental spirit that helps to make it such a wonderful place to live.
More to me than real estate:
I am a former competitive Ultimate Frisbee player, and over the past few years have competed in marathons, triathlons, and other running events like the Hood to Coast. I have raised over $3000 for the Windermere Foundation through pledges from my family, friends and clients while running two Eugene Marathons. Also in 2011, I ran the New York City Marathon. In my spare time I enjoy running, hiking, playing soccer, Ultimate, and basketball. Basically, I like being active. I guess I need to, to keep up with my two amazing children, Elliott & Nao.
