A Tour Around Kenton Eats

By Peter Clarke, March 29, 2022

This blog is going to be a few ideas put together in one.
The biggest part about moving for me is figuring out places to eat, and chill that are generally within walking distance. I, recently, well not that recently about 1 year and 1/2 ago, moved to North Portland in the Kenton area. Here are a few spots that I frequent that are pretty cool.
Spot one is Eatin’ Alive. It’s located in downtown Kenton and is one of those healthy food places. They have grain bowls, salads, and juices. I go there for the Ozone smoothie, it makes me feel like I’m being healthy in the morning when I’m not eating bacon and eggs.
Spot two is The Backyard Social. They got me in a pretty simple way. I was walking by and could smell the burger on the grill from outside. This is also a child-friendly place. Cool restaurant to bring the family for dinner.
The last spot is The Advice Booth. It’s a bar with cool inside decor and plays pretty good music. The outdoor seating is great, and they even have a trivia night sometimes.
This concludes my North Portland tour, I hope this was informative!
