Hi, Readers!
Feels like we’re on the cusp of a lot right now. Spring is in full bloom (have you headed to the waterfront to see the cherry blossoms, yet?), kiddos are starting their re-entry back to Oregon classrooms (my kindergartner had his first 2 hour in person session at our neighborhood school AND lost his first tooth!), there is a general feeling of positive energy. For that I am grateful.
I’m also incredibly grateful to bear witness to one of life’s biggest moments – helping people buy and sell a home. It fills me with joy that is hard to put into words, knowing that people are placing trust and partnership in me to help guide them through the process. Alex and Ashton are no exception. We recently slapped a sold sign on their beautiful Craftsman in St. Johns. You may remember it – it was the place with the BANANAS decks that overlooked the St. Johns bridge? The one that had 58 showings and an open house line around the block? 10 offers and a closing price close to six figures over asking? Yeah, that one.
Alex was my co-project manager; his partner Ashton was finishing up her graduate courses in sustainability (yeah!). They brought me in to see if we were a good fit, to gauge what work they should prioritize and to learn more about my process in selling their home. Right away, I knew we were going to be a great team.
They heard me and took my prep list in stride. They clearly communicated and asked smart questions. They pushed back when it made sense but trusted the process. It required three weeks of elbow grease, but the end results literally paid off. It looked SO GOOD. I brought in my staging and design partners from Polka Dot Designs and they per usual nailed it. I’m a big believer in the power of paint, color and staging – time after time it’s helped me sell homes for top dollar. I’d be happy to talk with you more about some of my winning strategies.
During this already-packed process in life, Alex proposed to Ashton… you guys, look at these two. I’m so happy to have them in my orbit and am wishing for all the happiness ahead. Thank you for being such great partners, and for the wonderful review of your experience.
And congratulations on your engagement! High fives,
