Buyers Concierge: You know you want one!

Welcoming people from out of town is one of the best parts of my job. I came from Seattle, and I know what it is like to be new to Portland. I was lucky enough to have the ‘Peeps,’ a wonderful and well established group of friends who love to gather, share and inspire, when I arrived here. Shout out to my Peeps!!

Being new to a city can be super fun, but being new to a city and shopping for a home, can be stressful. In an effort to alleviate that stress,  we have created a role called the Buyer Concierge.  This position helps people looking to move here from out of town get insight and feedback on homes for sale and information about all the wonderful neighborhoods of our fine city.

Steven and Erik had been thinking of moving to Portland for a while.  They were referred to me by some of my favorites- Thank you Jeff and Casey!   Jeff and Casey, who had relocated to Portland not that long ago, had been campaigning for the move for awhile, and their effort finally paid off.

On their first visit to Portland, we toured around neighborhoods and looked at a few homes.  This was  more of an educational tour, not a buying tour.  Then, when they were feeling ready to buy and jobs were secured, the buyers concierge went into action! We prepared for the next Portland visit by discussing homes available, their neighborhoods and dialing in what they were looking for via email.  The buyers concierge,  my business partner and wife, emailed hand picked choices with neighborhood notes to Erik and Steven, with me looped in.   The thought is to provide a steady stream of support in preparation for the next visit where they would be ready to actually buy a home.

Low and behold on just the second trip into town, armed with confidence and information Steven and Erik found a beautiful house to call home just a few blocks from services and friends. It was a really successful purchase and we are lucky to have another wonderful couple here in Portland to call friends and clients.

Congratulations Steven and Erik we can’t wait for you to get here!!
