Can you still buy a house (in Portland) for under $350k?

By Andee Zeigler, October 30, 2020

Yes! Yes you can! In fact, you can still get a real sweet house you just have to know where to look!

Our first time home buyer was certain of her budget, certain of the type of space she needed and flexible about the location.   She won the first house she wrote an offer on for just $6k over list.  We were able to negotiate for the seller to cover the bulk of her closing costs and her total out of pocket including inspections was just under $13k.

She won’t be house poor, she has some funds to do a few immediate cosmetic upgrades and she got the keys just in time to harvest all of the grapes!

Things that we love about this house:  large lot, oversized garage with loft space (perfect for future adu), living room fireplace with built ins and the sweetest wood stove in the kitchen for cozy winter mornings!
