When I met the seller for SE Pheasant, I don’t know why she was selling, nor did I know the seller. I quickly learned that the seller lost her husband a year ago. Her life plans changed and now involved selling her house so that she and her daughter’s family could purchase a house to move into together. I am seeing this more often, where families are coming back together to create a community of support and care for each other. There are more options out there with the popularity of ADUs. Proceeds from the sale of a house owned by an elderly parent can help with the purchase, while remaining protected with the assistance of an attorney and the way title is vested. I absolutely loved getting to know these clients and helping them achieve their goals!
