Kyle and Kelly are a young couple who are just starting their lives together. They wanted to find a home that would also serve as a good investment in their future. Kelly is in medical school, so they may have to move in a couple of years when she starts her residency. Portland is ultimately where they want to live, though. They wanted to plant some roots in the city they love!
This is a tough seller’s market, but Kyle and Kelly went into their search with open eyes and reasonable expectations. They thought through their decisions like champs. A couple of houses seemed interesting to them and they considered offering, but went with their guts and held off. They just didn’t feel right. It was clear something better was out there!
And then, there it was: an adorable home on the border of Woodstock and Mt. Scott. All of the bones were solid, but there was still room to do some cosmetic updates to increase value down the line. It would be a comfortable home for now, and it could also serve as a wonderful rental down the line if they have to move for residency. This was the one! Of course there were many offers on this home, and Kyle and Kelly weren’t the highest. But the sellers still chose them! The sellers are also in the medical field and connected with them. I was also able to leverage a great relationship with the list agent, who put in a good word for us!
Kyle and Kelly got keys to their new home yesterday and I can’t wait to see what they do with it. Congratulations, you two!
