When I am stressed I bake, when my clients are stressed I drop off treats, it’s a win win!
This is my go to chocolate chip cookie recipe, because cookies really do make it better.
What you need:
1 cup soft butter
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 room temp eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda2 cups flour
1 bag good chocolate chips (treat yourself, get the fancy kind!)
In mixing bowl, either standing mixer or hand mixer, quickly whip the butter, add both sugars a bit at a time.
**The key to thin chewy cookies is to not over mix them, so just a quick mix to incorporate each ingredient.
Add eggs, vanilla, salt and baking soda (quick mix)
Add flour in 4 scoops, mixing between each (can you tell I feel strongly about how to mix these cookies :))
Once flour is incorporated turn mixer on medium and add the chocolate chips and mix for roughly 10 seconds.
Bake in preheated oven at 350 for 11-14 min.
ps the first bite is always the best one
