A Global Pandemic + 1 small apartment + 2 wildly creative people that work from home +
1 new puppy with boundless energy — a yard = Time to look for a new home!
Chloe and Spencer had just grown their family by one: an adorable muppety dog named Cosmo. They had also been at home (for work and for play) for many months. Their apartment was starting to feel a little too small. The time had come for these two to find their first dream home of their very own.
It’s hard to find a more positive and enthusiastic duo than Spencer and Chloe. Even after losing out on several homes, they still had an undefeatable twinkle in their eyes. They fell deeply in love with a cute little two bedroom home, with a fantastic backyard in NE Portland. Unfortunately, the Seller accepted another offer. Chloe and Spencer were offered backup position. Meaning, if the accepted offer’s transaction fell apart for any reason, Spencer and Chloe would immediately have their offer accepted.
Though the prospect of actually getting this home felt unlikely to them, I remember tht ever-posiitve Chloe saying, “Well Spencer, that is how we got our apartment. The first people back out and then it was ours. Maybe that will happen here too? Maybe we are just lucky that way?”
Guess What?………..
They are lucky that way!!!
The initial offer fell through a few weeks into the transaction and Spencer and Chloe moved from backup position to first position.
They now own this beautiful home, and Cosmo now roams in his beautiful yard.
Congratulations!!!
