Covid Era Real Estate Transactions Are So Precious

By Yonette Fine, February 3, 2021

During this covid era, all real estate transactions are so precious to

me, and this has been one of the most precious of all. My dear friends

had planned on selling and moving closer into the City way back in 2019.

As life would have it, things did not come together during that time for

this next step in their lives.

As covid hit and work from home ruled the day, they had time to really

plan the next move, and it looked like the end of 2020 (the day after Christmas

to be exact) was going to be the magic moment. So. if you have been following the

real estate market, it turns out Portland is making history with the lowest inventory EVER!

This meant that listing a home under $500,000, was going to result in a LOT of interest.

We hit the market right, with two open houses welcoming some 50 ppl, all practicing social distancing

requirements, resulting in 9 solid offers. We accepted one and offered 3 buyers back-up positions.

With the sell all wrapped up, we had to focus on the purchase of their future dream home.

My clients found a home that I was sure was going to be in a busier location than

they wanted, but after multiple drive-bys, some during the day and some at night, and

a couple home tours, I was sold. As this one had been on the market for some time, we

were able to nab it with no competition. This is crazy considering the number of buyers

out there.

This transaction was filled with trust, patience, gratitude and loads of love. I’m so pleased to have

been part of this, as it is very precious to me and has kept me optimistic about finding homes for

my other buyers. Thank you so much for allowing me to guide you during this next chapter in your lives,

M+M+L !
