Doom and Gloom

By Yascha Noonberg, December 11, 2019

They say you never get a second chance to make a first impression and when taking clients through a home tour, that’s definitely true.

It’s important when staging a home to be conscious of the first impression that will occur as prospective buyers walk through the door.

I was showing a higher-end home today and the first thing we saw through the front door were these pictures in the front office of two pretty catastrophic events.

Both prints are interesting and visually cool displays of historical milestones but they instill a sense of doom and gloom as soon as you enter the property!

It was interesting how our first moments walking through the home were talking about those prints and how they evoked thoughts of catastrophe instead of moving our attention toward the finishes in the living room and kitchen.

Food for thought!
