Finding a Perfect Blend

By Living Room Realty, March 18, 2020

House hunting is not always easy, especially when two decision makers have wants that don’t seem to overlap. This was the case with Jenny and Mark. Both recently moved here and were ready to establish roots in Portland. Jenny wanted a house in a location where she could walk and bike to a commercial district. Mark wanted something in the country, with room to garden, and a large garage or shed. His dream was to have property on a river, surrounded by trees. We looked for several months, and many of the properties checked some of the boxes, but were either too far out of town, didn’t have a large lot, garage or shed. Then about a month ago, we saw this house. It is in walking and biking distance to Multnomah Village, is tucked away off the street, there is a creek in the back, with a large garage, and the icing on the cake is the ski lodge type feel on the inside. Much of Jenny and Mark’s free time is spent skiing and snowboarding on Mt. Hood. They immediately envisioned many happy years in this home and couldn’t wait to make it their own. I couldn’t be more pleased with their new abode!
