My client had spent the last few years splitting her time between two cities and in a house in Portland that she just didn’t love. As she started her search for a place to call home and to live in Portland full time, location was high on her priority list. She had been living in a house with excessive noise pollution in addition to being a much older home that required a lot of maintenance.
We discussed what her next home should be; what felt important to her, the spaces she wanted and the location. Also important, good natural light, functional floor plan, well maintained and in a quiet sweet neighborhood. I knew immediately that she needed a home built after 1935, these homes just feel so solid, they tend to have a highly functional floor plan, large windows and full of charm.
When this lovely 1942 capecod came on market in the University Park neighborhood, we knew it was the one. Large basement, perfect for an ADU conversion, oversized detached garage, sweet gardening spaces, well maintained and beaming with charming details!
This was a transaction that was dear to my heart and I am so thrilled that she loves her new home sweet home!
