Russell is an avid Portland Thorns fan, and a soccer enthusiast in general. He was looking for a home where he could host his friends for matches, gather his community together for celebrating wins, and commiserate with one another over those unfortunate losses.
On his first day hunting for a home, he found one he truly loved. But, as fate would have it, his best friends were also in the market for a home, and they also fell head over heals for this one.
A remarkable gentleman, Russell chose friendship over home ownership, and ceded this “match” to his friends. He spends a great deal of time at that house now, as his friends do indeed own it.
Russell eventually recovered from this housing heartbreak, and he moved on. Unfortunately, the market was not kind to our friend, and he lost out on 3 other homes, due to intense competition, not friendship.
Russell remained hopeful, kept searching, and finally….Goal! He found a beautiful 1920s bungalow; perfect for entertaining. There is even a two car garage to house his 1966 Mustang; a pet project he has been hoping to work on for years.
Congratulations Russell, it’s truly an absolute score.
