HAPPY CAMP

By Drew Burchette, February 26, 2021

I’ve been working with a lot of clients recently who are moving from urban to rural settings. For me it is dangerous because that is what I would like to do. But with school age children, it is not really in the cards at the moment. Anyway. I toured this home in northeast Salem with one set of buyers in the fall of 2020. It was not a fit for them because the house just needed too much. The layout didn’t fit their lifestyle and they weren’t interested in that kind of a “project”. But the lot (2.5-ish flat acres with a nice shop and great trees) was perfect.

Months later my client Rich sent me a couple addresses. I kept wondering why one of them kept auto-filling my search box (as though I had put it in before). When the picture came up, I honestly rolled my eyes a little. I didn’t think it was a contender because of the comments of my previous buyer. I suggested we go have a look to rule it out.

Once I pulled up in the driveway again, I realized that it actually could be a perfect fit for Rich. We were there all of 15 minutes and he was ready to pull the trigger. Now he has his happy camp to share with kids, grandkids and everyone else!

My coaching is geared towards empowering you to make informed decisions that will lead to your best possible outcome. I excel at asking the questions that get to the heart of the matter which in turn enables a smooth sale process. Away from the office I am passionate about so many things, but it all begins and ends with my family. My boys are both in elementary school and parenting is an ongoing challenge and joy for my wife and I. We love to travel around Oregon, the East Coast, Mexico and beyond.
