Itty bitty teenie tiny home

Tiny homes are hot. For adults and kids.

Meet five year-old Wallace. He just got his first tiny house.

Wallace is a gifted child. He needed a better school district too. As an actor, a performer and an all – around adorable kiddo, schools are important. His parent got a new home and him a new home too. Located behind his parents new house in NE Vancouver, Wallace’s tiny house is just as dialed. Expansive windows, glass front door, open floor plan and lots of curb appeal.

Wallace’s parents, Meagan and Kelly, owned a lovely home just a little South. It just happened to be a different school district, which was not ideal, and a was wee bit too small.  I listed their home and it received multiple offers in just a few days on the market.  After searching high and low for a home close to Portland as possible, between I – 205 and Camas, we found THE dream home.  Listed for $405,000…we jumped after it only on the market for a few hours. Surprisingly, we wrote at list price and we got it.  And it is gooooorge-ous!  Built by a local custom home builder, who typically build homes in a MUCH higher price point. Imagine free floating bath tub, extra large walk-in shower, 10′ ceilings, fantastic floor plan, HUGE rooms and so much more.

Meagan and Kelly are trying to furnish their lovely new home. It is one-third larger than their previous. Wallace has his all set up.

During this transaction, we created a great relationship with this custom home builder.  I would love to work with this builder again. If you are looking for a great custom home for around beginning at $425,000 reach out to me. Feel free to call me at 503.784.2204 or visit my website at www.jennifer-johnston.com.

Should I wait until mortgage rates drop before I buy?

Nobody has a crystal ball, but most projections suggest mortgage rates will stay above 6% for the foreseeable future. Even if they do drop, it’s likely to be a gradual decline, not an overnight plunge.
