This sweet condo was just passed on to its new owner and I am so happy for my sellers Paul and Nora! We connected at the end of the summer after I had worked with a number of residents in the Abitare complex. Paul and Nora have been longtime owners and were ready to sell this sweet spot, retire their role as landlords and enjoy the fruits of a simplified life.
In my opinion, the Abitare is a magical place. This complex is tucked right into the forest below Terwiliger Park and the views here are simply incredible. On a clear day you can see Mt Hood, Mt Saint Helens and on occation, Mt Adams. Downtown’s lights sparkle at night while during the day you can watch the OHSU “pill” making its trek up the hill. The Willamette with all her magnificient bridges peacefully ties our beautiful city together, completing the scene of mountain, city and river views.
When I met the buyer for this condo, she was actually en route to meet her agent at another nearby listing but stopped into my open house just to take a peak. Immediately I could sense her excitement and had that feeling that she was the next owner this home was truly calling for. The newly remodeled space offered a clear and fresh home to land — close enough to downtown, but just enough up the hill to get these wide expansive views full of possibility. Later that day I received a phone call from her agent, followed by a super solid offer and the rest is history! What a beautiful nest to call home!
So many congratulations to my clients Paul and Nora! They worked so hard to rennonvate and bring fresh life into the space — I am grateful for their trust in me as selling condos with special assessments sometimes (but not alwasy!) can be a bit of a long haul and bring up extra challenges. Having spent the last year deeply involved with the ins and outs of the Abitare’s uniqueness and special assement, I felt confident in our pricing strategy and navigating the marketing and sale of Paul and Nora’s investment. Their unit went pending after 14 days which is no small acheivement given the condo market in thier area was showing 7 months of inventory! There was a great sense of team effort from all parties in this tranaction and when it’s all said and done, everyone is happy and excited for their own respective new chapters — to me that makes for an excelllent transaction and just one more reason why I love doing what I do so much! Congratulations Paul and Nora, wishing you both all the best!
