Make VROOM to Live

By Living Room Realty, July 25, 2018

Life here in the Pacific Northwest can be pretty relaxing:  floating a lazy river; meandering through the forest trails; strolling down the beach; or just kicking back on your porch with a cup of coffee, a donut and the newest find from Powell’s.

But sometimes? Sometimes you’ve just got to embrace a completely different experience. Feed the thrill-seeking animal in all of us. And to that beast, we offer up speed and power. And if you can’t feed that fiend directly, check out the nearby World of Speed – Motorsports Museum.

A rotating collection of exhibits covering all aspects of our inherent need for speed. Car racing of all kinds, of course, but motorcycles and boats too. There’s no shortage of high velocity excitement. From drag-racing to the land-speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats. They even offer recurring educational workshops for adults and children alike. Soak up the historical perspectives about the early days of racing, the influence of women on the sport and explore what the PNW has to say about how and where we race.

Buckle up and enjoy, but just resist the urge to throttle up on the drive home.
