Mission Impossible

By Living Room Realty, April 10, 2020

I got the initial call from Hayla and Jeff on a Saturday afternoon in early March: they had finally found the dream house! They had been casually looking for the perfect house for a few years and this one checked just about every box. There was just one tiny little problem: they had to sell their house first, it wasn’t on the market yet and it appeared that the dream house was going to get a couple of offers. I guess that was three problems. DANG IT!!

We talked it through and found a way to make the purchase without a contingent offer. Then the other offer(s) didn’t quite materialize. This was all happening with the backdrop of the early COVID closures and questions; I’m certain there were sleepless nights all around.

We plodded our way through inspections. The buyers navigated a very complex lending process. We assembled all the moving pieces. Then…I just got the call…the sale is closed and I can pass off the keys. Wow. That was crazy. The mission was impossible, but we got it done!
