Like last summer, we may need to get creative about how we keep cool this summer, try these old school, no ac ideas and keep it cool in your house.
1. Keep blinds, windows, and doors closed during the day
2. Adjust your ceiling fans if they are rotating clockwise (counter-clockwise actually moves air around better)
3. Place a shallow bowl of ice water in front of your standing fans
4. Open as many windows and doors in the evening as possible
5. Close off hotter sections of your house by putting up heavy cloths, or blankets. (We know…not so pretty, but it can really keep out the heat).
