Old Houses ….. (sigh)

By Living Room Realty, August 23, 2018

Old Houses – They really don’t make ’em like they used to. While our current project is a complete pain-in-the ass there is something to be said about our lady on the corner.  She has  withstood storms and wind, decades of rain and beating sunshine and a family of raccoons.  Her floor and ceiling joists were cracked and bowed under the weight of many heavy car engines that sat in the living and bedrooms.  She is over 100 years old and keeps on standing.  Maybe because she doesn’t know any better.

Next week I will be will began to pressure washing her siding.  It will be a week of lead chips in my hair.

I’d like to believe she didn’t fall down because she was waiting for Chris and I to show up.  That’s what I will be telling myself when the chips starting falling.
