Here’s what my parter, Stacey, has to say about her home buying experience:
“As of early fall I was ready to get my hands dirty and sink my spare time into a cosmetic fixer, if I could find just the right one of course. I came across a tudor cottage in Beaumont- Wilshire, with just a few steps inside the house I could already see its potential. The price was a stretch and I was already thinking of ways to formulate an offer. As I was walking around the house I met the neighbor Jon. We got to talking about the market and the neighborhood and how he had been in his home since 1988. He kept telling me how great the neighbors are and how much the neighborhood has changed. He said he was really hoping to have a good next door neighbor and that he didn’t like the home being vacant. I told him I was thinking of writing an offer for myself but was reluctant because I was going to write under the asking price. He gave me some solid words of advice we all need to be reminded of, ” if you don’t try you won’t know.” I took those words to heart and went ahead with an offer. To my surprise the sellers accepted it and Jon was thrilled to hear the news. Now we both can’t wait for move in day, I just have little work to do first…”
