Just wrapped up a sweet sale on a home out in Clackamas County, located right next to the secretive California Condor breeding program facility. The neighborhood has quite literally gone to the birds.
But in all seriousness, this facility is responsible for bringing this important bird back from near extinction. From a low of 22 total in 1989, there are now more than 400 birds, half of whom are free in the wild. With 52-acres for the birds to roam and fly in, this breeding facility is an amazing example of social responsibility and nature conservation. I look forward to seeing how their work continues to expand the population of these incredible birds.
On a lighter note, one day while we were in process with this transaction I decided to take out my canoe and launch at nearby Carver Park. I immediately hit rapids and rolled the canoe three times. Eventually I was able to land in Oregon City, at which point I took a Lyft back to my car. Wrong boat for that stretch of the river for sure! Happy to say the transaction went much smoother than my river ride!
