Sometimes, Home Is Right Next Door!

By Leanne Bach, January 27, 2021

Andy had a sweet bachelor pad, perfectly sized for him and on the river with a cool view. But then he got married and they needed more space. One of the nice things about condo living is that if you love the building, but need to upsize or downsize, there is a good chance you can achieve the goal of staying in the same building. Such was the case for Andy and Margaret. Only, their dream condo was right next door..like 10 feet from their front door. Much larger and an absolutely stunning view of the water. My goodness, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. My first visit in there, I didn’t want to leave. Ducks came to visit me and I found the perfect little reading nook. Margaret already stated it would be her painting area..so much inspiration to be had in that little nook with a wall to wall window view of the world in action.
In order to close on that condo, we needed to sell their current condo. It was on the market with another agent and they just didn’t get any traction. It wasn’t priced correctly for the ever declining condo market. I got in there, gritted my teeth and gave them the lowdown of what they needed to do, and they listened to me! We found a buyer and they ended up being extremely difficult to work with, but our options were slim so we had to stick with it and focus on the end goal.
I’m so thankful we succeeded in getting them their dream condo. It wasn’t an easy transaction, but it’s over now and moving forward can begin. We will be celebrating soon and toasting each other and their new view. Maybe they’ll invite me over to watch the Christmas ships next year, wink wink!
