Sometimes it’s the Garden

By Marissa Sainz, June 21, 2021

Laura called me in need of help selling her mother’s home after she had passed. She does not live in town so she wanted someone who would be here to make sure everything was going smoothly and be able to handle any issues that might come up. I love when I am able to give a client piece of mind that while they are away their home sale or purchase is on track.

Laura’s mom’s house is a cute little home that sits on a double lot. It is the classic grandma house with a lot of care and maintenance put in over the years. The thing that makes this house stand out is the garden. The double lot allows for a lot of outdoor space. The garden was transformed over the years with love and care. There are multiple areas to sit in the peaceful trees or tend to flowers and berries. There is even a “She Shed” that was used as an art studio.

Once the house was on the market there was a lot of interest. Within one weekend we had 3 strong offers. The buyers that had their offer accepted were so excited about the garden that they asked if they could come by before closing and water the plants. They also shared their plans to use the “She Shed” as an art space and their deep appreciation for the work Laura’s mom had put into the space. The sale process went smoothly and I could not be happier for Laura and her mom!
