Multi-Generation Mid-Century

By Living Room Realty, September 30, 2020

Emily and Morgan’s parents had not yet unpacked their moving boxes from their mid-western relocation to Portland. Angie and Raleigh made the trek from Tennesee to be closer to their kids and grandkids as they enjoy their retirement — sewing projects, growing heirloom tomatoes, and helping out with their young grand-daughter. They purchased the house behind Emily and Morgan but have realized the neighborhood was not quite the right fit for.

Fast forward a year or so and the three generations are about to close on a large mid-century sprawler on a quarter acre at the end of the Alameda ridge for just about the same financial involvement as the two separate, smaller houses. The layout of the Alameda house will give this family all the space they need now while securing their preferred neighborhood.

Congratulations to this lovely family on this achievement! I can’t wait to celebrate with you after you get settled in!
