STICKING WITH IT

By Living Room Realty, July 22, 2020

I met my clients Dominique and Jeff about a year ago. They owned a townhouse in NE Portland that was okay for them…but they were kinda ready to buy a step-up home. And they’d have to sell their current home to make that happen. We went out and looked at all of the new construction in the area and none of them quite hit the mark. The layout too funky, the fixtures too weird, the neighborhood too crowded…there was always something.  We’d end every tour for the same refrain: well that didn’t quite work…we’ll reach out in a few months when we are ready.

Over time, these tours became more frequent and there were a few near-misses. It got to the point where I suggested that we get their home more ready to list and photographed so that we could be ready to go live right away if the right house came along. On the day that we did pix, we went to look a sleek new house that had just gone live. Of course it was THE ONE. We got their contingent offer accepted, got the townhome listed and then under contract inside of 3 days.

It was a wild ride, but everyone stuck with it to get it done! The new house is super-RAD and I am excited to hand off the keys today!
