Sometimes a remodel just doesn’t go quite as planned. Well, not sometimes: most definitely always. This property in particular was a doozy for my clients with all kinds of issues popping up throughout the rehab process that they tackled head-on like true champs. You want a visual of how this one felt? Picture my clients standing there with tennis balls flying at their heads at 90 MPH while they dodged and swerved and batted them away.
Enter: the buyers and their wonderful agent. Throughout the escrow process there were a number of challenges to navigate but I feel beyond blessed to have been working with Spring Cutsforth, who is a longtime veteran of the industry and a true peach. Getting to the finish line was a team effort and Spring was a real pleasure for me to work with as we made our way to close. If there had been anyone else on the other side of this I’m not sure we would have made it! But instead of drama this transaction was full of good feelings with grateful buyers and a seller who went well above and beyond to make them happy (including making an unexpected repair at the last minute because it was the right thing to do).
While I’m giving shout outs, I would be remiss without mentioning the unsung hero of any real estate transaction: escrow. Emily Hummel of Fidelity is the pro of pros. She does not get nearly enough credit for everything that she does! And she always does it with a smile on her face. I’m so happy to have her on my team, along with Molly Ozier, broker extraordinaire, and Iris Ireland, my transaction coordinator who I would be lost without. We made it to the finish line, all! Time to find the next project.
