The Difference is Night and Day

By Natalie Tracy, May 17, 2019

I met Talia at an open house a couple months ago – she and Chaise were starting the search for their first home, and they hadn’t yet found the right REALTOR®. We hit it off immediately, and scheduled a time for the three of us to meet for coffee. It was a love connection all around, so we were off and running!

Talia and Chaise were so focused and so on it every step of the way – they knew what they wanted, and they knew where they wanted it and when. We had one false start, and then a house that hadn’t seemed right the first time through got a second look. The first showing had been at night, the second was in the light of day. And what a difference a day made. Suddenly, they could imagine themselves making it their own. They wanted a ranch. Check. They wanted a nice yard. Check. They wanted walking distance to cool retail. Check. And like all buyers, they wanted it in their price range. Check!

With equal doses of calm and humor, Talia and Chaise sailed through inspections, negotiations, and loan approval like they’d done it all a hundred times. There’s definitely something to be said for having a goal and sticking to it!

And now, this adorable ranch is all theirs. They’re already embarking on a whole list of projects, and I can’t wait to see the finished product. Well done, you two!

Nobody has a crystal ball, but most projections suggest mortgage rates will stay above 6% for the foreseeable future. Even if they do drop, it’s likely to be a gradual decline, not an overnight plunge.
